Many digital humanities projects include the development of new software tools or extension of existing ones. However, when writing grant proposals and planning such projects, researchers often seem to underestimate the effort of planning and managing a software development project. We are proposing a 1.5 hours-long workshop that discusses the different facets of development for software, website, and database projects. The workshop will include topics such as software development methodologies, infrastructure requirements, personnel requirements, software development project management, and sustainability considerations.
See the Workshop Outline page for a brief summary of what we will discuss.
See the Resources page for additional resources about the topics we will discuss.
