Getting Started
Create an account
MHDA uses GitHub's OAuth mechanism for user authentication. Before you can log in to MHDA, you will need to create an account at http://www.github.com.
Once you have a GitHub account, go to MHDA (https://amphora.asu.edu/mbl-data/) and click "Log in" in the upper right corner.
The first time that you log in, you will be redirected to GitHub's OAuth portal. You will be asked to authorize MHDA to access your public account information. Once you approve the authorization, you should be redirected back to MHDA and automatically logged in. On subsequent logins, typically you will not be asked to re-authorize the application.
When you first log in, you won't be able to do much that you couldn't do already. In order to start curating the dataset, you will need to be given "staff" status. Please email erick.peirson@asu.edu to request authorization. Upon receiving staff authorization, you should have access to a variety of curatorial features.
Obtain access to Conceptpower
If you are curating Person records, you will inevitably need to create some new entries in the Conceptpower authority service (https://chps.asu.edu/conceptpower/).
To obtain an account in Conceptpower, please contact Julia Damerow (jdamerow@asu.edu).
Documentation for Conceptpower can be found at http://diging.github.io/conceptpower/.
